The Community Thrift Shop was started in 1975 by parents and volunteers from Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School for the benefit of the school. Each year, an annual donation is presented to the school and over the years, the shop has generated over half a million dollars in donations.

For the 2009-2010 academic year the shop donated $25,000 to the school.

In addition, every year, the shop sponsors a Frequent Consignor Contest for Lower and Intermediate School classes. The winning class in each division receives a cash donation at the end of the school year. Last year’s donations to school accounts generated over $6,700.00.

For your convenience, the Community Thrift Shop plans to hold 5 donation drives in the Upper School and Intermediate School parking lots: September 21, November 9, February 8, March 4 and May 17. Please check the school’s weekly reminders for details.

The shop accepts donations and consignments any time Monday- Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are located at 5704 Manatee Ave. W.
