While at the 2018 Water is Life conference in Tokyo, Japan, Ann Marie Shields, Science Department Chair and Jennifer Hambrick, Director of Global Education met Mr. Klaus Hegnby, a teacher at EIS. During their conversations throughout the week, both parties shared their experiences with student exchanges and global education programs. After a week together, it was obvious that both schools had strong global education programs and that a future collaboration together would be valuable. The fall of 2019, marked the first exchange between the two schools. The Danish students spent ten days on campus and in the community while living with Saint Stephen’s host families.
