Saint Stephen's has a tradition of excellence, providing a world-class education that nurtures every student. Our after-school and summer camp programs offer the same level of quality. Activities are tailored to stimulate the child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Students explore new subjects, discover creative talents, or strengthen a sports skill while building new friendships.

After-school programs run daily and are open to students of all ages. Lessons on musical instruments of all types – guitar, violin, piano, organ, harp, clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, voice – are offered. Sports and other physical activities are wide-ranging, including baseball, soccer, tennis, swimming, kickball, fencing, martial arts, yoga, cheerleading, dance and more. The roster of offerings is ever-changing based on the interest level of our students.

These programs expand even further each summer (June through August), when we groom budding computer programmers, filmmakers, cartoon artists, mad scientists and engineers. Our academic enrichment camps ease students back into school with a lighter take on study skills, math and writing. College-bound seniors prepare for their next venture with essay and college application workshops.

Day campers mine for gems, hike and learn about nature at local parks, and enjoy special library programs, movies and beach time – all under the guidance of caring, experienced teachers.

The summer program is one of the most comprehensive to be found anywhere, and it’s open to the community. Children who are new to Saint Stephen’s discover it’s the perfect transition to the school and a great way to make friends before classes start. We’re also proud to be a haven for international families who visit the area for summer vacation.

AFTERCARE

Three Saint Stephen’s aftercare programs provide supervision on regular school days for students from pre-kindergarten through middle school. They are in operation Monday through Friday, from 3-5:30 p.m., staffed by Saint Stephen’s faculty members.

The Lower School program allow students to participate in free and constructive play with other children, providing valuable opportunities for social interaction. The Middle School Study Hall gives students a quiet place to relax, and all aftercare programs provide an opportunity for students to get a head start on their homework with the benefit of a faculty member to monitor and guide them. This study time is great for students who may need a little extra tutoring.
