The Saint Stephen’s doubles team of Max Damm and Dan Li defeated Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian’s Michael Mendez and Sebastian Stam in a tiebreaker to win the Class 1A individual state doubles title Tuesday, April 25 at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford. The victory completed a dynamic 2017 tennis season that also included the girls team advancing all the way to the state semifinals. Both teams recorded undefeated regular seasons (9-0) and won district titles. The girls also took the region crown and reached the state final four before falling to Boca Raton St. Andrews School. Damm and Li swept two doubles matches on Monday to reach the finals. Check out local media stories here:
